I set up a mobile recording rig, consisting of Mbox Pro, stereo Neumann U87′s, a monitoring system, and my good old mac book; and brought it to the Lalo Guerrero school of music. Set the mics up in XY, and ended up getting some great stuff. Soon as I get a chance, the next step will be to calibrate converters & speakers. I have been super busy between the time spent at the LA studio and the side projects at the home studio, so I am looking forward to getting this all done so I can get back to mixing the couple projects I have left to mix. I recently got a pair of NS-10s which are no longer made, but are used by every mix engineer because of there famous flat response. In addition to the NS-10s, I’ve been in the process of re-capping/re-calibrating my summing mixer, and once that process is done, I will move into the final stage, and that is calibrating both sets of speakers and the subwoofer to the room. I would love to get a session from someone to do some rough mixes on, of course no charge! So shoot an email over to Bill@KleinAudio.com for more details.
